Privacy statement

Which data do we keep?

When you join the waitlist, we keep: your email address, which exam you are practising for, the month of your exam (if you fill it in), the language of the website, which version of the website you saw and the price that came with it, which link brought you here, and the moment you gave consent.

We do not keep your name or your IP address. We never ask about your residence status.

What do we use it for?

To email you as soon as you can start with Dutch+, and to email you now and then about Dutch+.

To give you the price you saw on the website.

To measure which version of the website works better. We do this with groups, not with you as a person.

On what basis?

We use your data because you give consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.

How long do we keep it?

Until the app opens and then for at most 12 more months. If you unsubscribe earlier, we delete your data within 30 days.

Who can see your data?

Only us. Your data is stored on our own server at Hostinger, in a data centre in Germany (European Union).

We measure visits with Umami on that same server. Umami does not use cookies and does not store IP addresses.

This website has no advertising pixels from, for example, Meta, TikTok or Google. We never sell your data.

Cookies

We use two small cookies, both valid for one year. "dp_lang" remembers your language. "dp_v" remembers which version of the website you see, so it does not change when you come back. They contain no personal data.

We do not use cookies to track you. That is why we do not ask for cookie consent.

Your voice

The waitlist never records your voice. When the practice app starts, we will explain separately and clearly what happens to your recordings, before you record anything.

Your rights

You may see your data, have it corrected, deleted or transferred. You may also object. Just contact us. We reply within 30 days.

Not happy with how we handle your data? You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Security

The website only uses encrypted connections (https). The database cannot be reached from the internet and only we have access.

Changes

If we change this statement, you will see the new date at the top. For big changes, we will email you.
